Os idosos com mais de 65 anos, e pessoas que tenham algum tipo deficiência, que vivem em condições onde a renda familiar por pessoa não ultraa 238,5 reais por mês, tem direito ao Benefício de Prestação Continuada. O BPC, da Lei Orgânica da Assistência Social (LOAS), é a garantia de um salário mínimo mensal para essas pessoas, e por se tratar de um benefício assistencial não precisa ter que contribuído com o INSS para ter o.
Em Minas Gerais, 450 mil pessoas que dependem do benefício para o dia a dia. E para continuar a recebê-lo, o beneficiário precisa renovar o seu cadastro em uma das unidades do Centro de Referência da Assistência Social (Cras), presente em todos os municípios. Porém, muitos idosos e pessoas com deficiência ainda desconhecem essa necessidade. Outros, por limitações físicas ou mentais, não conseguem se deslocar até uma das unidades.
Portanto, ajude a divulgar essa mensagem ajudando os mais necessitados. É nosso dever como cristãos e cidadãos, ajudar os menos favorecidos.
O prazo para o cadastro, é até o dia 31 de dezembro. Aqueles que não fizerem, perderam o benefício. Procure na sua cidade os postos do Cras (muitos estão disponíveis na internet).
