Conselho Geral Internacional Família Vicentina
No último dia 22 de fevereiro, a Família Vicentina publicou uma declaração referente ao conflito que, lamentavelmente, decorre no Leste Europeu, rogando pela paz mundial e manifestando apoio integral ao povo da Ucrânia.
Esta declaração foi assinada por todos os líderes da Família Vicentina pelo mundo inteiro, dentre eles, o nosso 16º Presidente-geral Internacional, confrade Renato Lima de Oliveira, que representou toda a Sociedade de São Vicente de Paulo.
O Conselho Geral Internacional rechaça qualquer tipo de guerra, defendendo que a melhor solução para os conflitos é pela via diplomática, evitando-se perdas humanas e econômicas. Devemos perseguir sempre a paz, como nos pediu Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo (João 14, 27).
Desde o momento em que a crise começou, o Conselho Geral entrou em contato com os nossos confrades e consócias da Ucrânia, buscando informações sobre a segurança deles. Apesar da situação, todos encontram-se bem. Atualmente, existem três Conferências na Ucrânia:
- Conferência São João Maria Vianey (adultos), em Kharkiv
- Conferência São Cristóvão (jovens), também em Kharkiv
- Conferência Santa Marta Vetskaya (jovens), localizada em Kiev
“Queremos expressar nossa solidariedade ao povo ucraniano, pedindo a Deus que essa crise termine rapidamente, e que os líderes mundiais, dos dois lados, ponham a mão na consciência e resolvam essa crise pelo diálogo. Somos todos irmãos em Cristo”, lamentou o nosso Presidente-geral.
